Marwan found his first Hollywood roles in 2016, with The Promise, Ben-Hur and Collide. He quickly catapulted to more film, including Murder on the Orient Express & The Mummy. Now, he is playing the role of Jafar in the Aladdin remake!
Netflix cast him for the film The Angel, which is based on an Egyptian spy who helped Israel.
He is of Dutch and Tunisian descent. He was born in The Hague, Netherlands.
He began acting at a young age after a girlfriend threw him in to an audition for a Dutch rendition of the famous Chicago musical. He continued acting and later graduated from the Theatre Academy Maastricht.
Will Smith is cast as the Genie, alongside Marwan’s “Hot Jafar” in the much anticipated Aladdin.
